About Us
Welcome to TSEO Ltd, the company behind TheyScored. Our aim is to strengthen the passion that burns in the hearts of all sports enthusiasts worldwide. Based in the vibrant city of London, England, our journey began as a tight-knit group of four friends. United by the love of football and with an interest in a variety of sports, we set sail on a mission to revolutionise how fans engage with live sports.
Inspired by the well known slogan 'Scratch your own itch' we set out to put our craving for an interactive sports experience into reality. TheyScored isn't just an app, it's a community where fans predict scores, win real cash prizes with no risk, for free (there is literally no deposit button on our app, only a withdrawal button) and revel in friendly competition. All without the stress typically associated with betting platforms.
The seed for TheyScored was planted amidst the global standstill of the Covid pandemic in late 2020. It was a time that challenged us to think differently about how we connect with sports and each other. Rising to the occasion, we launched TheyScored first on Android and then on iOS in 2023. The response was phenomenal, with hundreds of thousands embracing our vision in just a few months.
We see every day as an opportunity to enhance the TheyScored experience. With exciting features on the horizon, we are just getting started (another overused slogan but if the shoe fits… oops and another). We're committed to expanding our offerings, including more sports, interactive elements and community-driven content. Ultimately we want our users have the best possible experience.

Meet the Team
CEO: Chris
Chris lives in the UK and spends most of his time indoors, bundled up in multiple layers and drinking warm cups of coffee because it’s always too cold. After earning a Master’s degree in Engineering, he quickly realized that football was his passion and founded Theyscored—because life’s too short!
Database: Fabio Moreira
Fabio also has an engineering degree and lives in northern Portugal, where he spends most of his time thinking about databases or trying to improve the entire setup. With tens of millions of data points, we can’t blame him. He also enjoys playing Apex Legends with his friends.
Developer: Bruno
Bruno, who holds a degree in Computer Science, lives in northern Portugal and gets to hear all the complaints from team members when something breaks, looks broken but isn’t, or when someone has another great idea they think would be super easy to implement. In our opinion, he has built the most beautiful app and website in the world from scratch.
Data and Visualizations: Michael Tsopanoglou
Michael is an undergraduate student in Statistics and our go-to specialist for data, analysis, and visualizations. He lives in Greece and creates amazing charts, graphs, and visuals for the blog, which everyone then comments on and asks him to tweak thousands of times. In the end, they end up looking like the original because he was right all along.
Support: Vee Amadeo
Vee, short for Veron (named after one of the greatest football players ever), lives in the Philippines. With her background in account management and marketing, support comes naturally to her. Her warm and genuine personality shines through, and our users seem to really enjoy the open and honest chats they can have with her.
Marketing Advisor: Diana Moura
Diana lives in southern Portugal and runs her own mobile app marketing agency. She has advised Uber, Uber Eats, and Miniclip. Although Theyscored is nowhere near the size of these companies, we believe this will one day be her claim to fame—if only the stars would align just this once and Karma would stop by, as we truly feel we deserve it!
