Detailed tactical preview and 1-2 score prediction for Auxerre vs Paris FC in Ligue 1 Matchday 10 on 7 November 2026.

How Auxerre and Paris FC compare on rating, form and history.

Ligue 1 Matchday 10 on 7 November 2026 separates a side hovering near the relegation play off zone from one chasing European qualification and Still and Rosenior are meeting as managers for the first time. Auxerre are 14th with 10 points from nine games under Will Still, while Paris FC sit fourth on 17 points, three behind third. The hosts have conceded 23 goals already, the visitors want to build on a promising month of results despite recent wobbles on the road.

Auxerre's last five league games read L D W L W. The 1-5 thrashing at Strasbourg on 1 November was the low point, though a 1-4 defeat at Rennes and a narrow 2-1 win against Brest either side of a 3-1 victory over Le Havre shows a side unable to string anything together. Paris FC's WLWLW run is more controlled. Their 3-1 win at Monaco on 1 November is the headline result, though the 4-3 against Rennes and the 1-2 defeat at Lens mean they conceded seven goals across those two away trips.

Auxerre are without three players who would have been central to their setup. Lamfia Dioubaté is suspended after his red card at Strasbourg, Bryan Okoh is out with a cruciate ligament injury and Assane Diousse is sidelined for the same reason, stripping both the defensive line and midfield and forcing Still to trust players with little prior responsibility at this level. Paris FC have their own problems: Adama Camara is out with a hamstring issue, disrupting their midfield shape and Lassine Sinayoko is a doubt, with his eight goals in nine games making him the axis of their attack.

Still has built Auxerre around a high pressing 3-4-2-1 that depends on winning the ball high and moving it quickly, with Cameron Archer, who has six goals in nine games, leading the line. Losing Dioubaté, Okoh and Diousse means Still is without two of his three first choice central defenders, forcing at least one untested option into the back line. Rosenior's Paris FC use a 4-2-3-1 where Pagis and Kebbal operate in the half spaces behind the striker, with Sinayoko, at eight goals this season, their most direct outlet when fit.

If Paris FC's double pivot controls the midfield, Sinayoko's runs in behind put Auxerre's replacement defenders under immediate pressure and Faivre cutting inside off the right could find space behind Paris FC's attacking full backs on the break. It is a reasonable route back into the game for Auxerre but 23 goals conceded in nine games makes it hard to trust that defence to stay tight enough to use it.

Auxerre and Paris FC met twice last season, the February 2026 fixture finishing 0-0 and the November 2025 reverse ending 1-1. Whether that defensive instinct carries over when Auxerre are this shorthanded and Paris FC are chasing European points is another question.

Auxerre's set pieces are a problem they cannot easily solve with their available personnel, having lost their primary aerial cover in central defence. Two consecutive away defeats for Paris FC are the one thing Auxerre can point to, though staying compact enough to exploit them on the break requires a defensive solidity they have not shown across the opening nine games.

Auxerre 1-2 Paris FC. Sinayoko's absence is a real blow to the visitors and Archer will likely grab one for the hosts. But with Pagis and Kebbal available to operate in the half spaces and Auxerre forced into at least one untested centre back, Paris FC have enough in the right places to take this.
