Real Betis host CA Osasuna at the Benito Villamarín on 11 October 2026, Matchweek 8 of La Liga. Betis sit third with 16 points from seven matches, pushing for a Champions League return while managing continental commitments, Osasuna are 13th on eight points, three months into Ramis's first top flight job in Spain. Manuel Pellegrini has been in charge of Betis since August 2020, while Luis Miguel Ramis only took over Osasuna on 1 July 2026 after succeeding Alessio Lisci, making this their first managerial meeting.
Betis have five wins from seven league outings and the strong start is no fluke. Osasuna arrive having gone four matches without a win, a run that ended only with a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano before the international break.

Real Betis will be without Aitor Ruibal (knee), Diego Llorente (muscle) and Junior Firpo, with Marc Bartra also questionable, leaving Pellegrini to reshuffle his backline while the attacking options remain intact. Osasuna's injury list is longer and more damaging: Valentin Rosier (hamstring), Jorge Herrando (groin), Raul Moro (muscle/hamstring), Romain Del Castillo (adductor), Moi Gómez (hamstring) and Aimar Oroz (hamstring) are all out, stripping Osasuna of their width, their creativity and much of their midfield cover.
Betis operate with a possession oriented style built on full back overlaps and midfield rotations, with Isco pulling strings in the final third and Cucho Hernández leading the line with two league goals already. Osasuna under Ramis will likely sit in a low block, a shape the injury list has forced on them regardless of tactical preference. Ante Budimir has five league goals but, without Moro, Del Castillo or any runners to link with, he is operating alone up front. With Rosier and Herrando both absent, Antony is likely to find a makeshift right flank in front of him and Isco threading passes between Osasuna's midfield lines should find space early. Betis lose some defensive experience but keep their attacking quality, Osasuna, stripped of their wide cover and creative midfielders, have very little to threaten going forward.

Betis have won nine of their last 12 meetings with Osasuna and with so many bodies missing from the visitors' squad, their ability to execute aerial routines from set pieces is already undermined. Betis have more than enough technical quality to create through open play without needing to rely on dead ball situations.
2-0 to Real Betis. Isco should find the gaps Osasuna's depleted midfield leaves open, while Budimir, without Moro or Del Castillo to link with, is unlikely to trouble the Betis backline alone.
