Fraser will probably set up in a mid block and look to release Salloi in behind on the transition, now Toronto's only realistic option with Osorio and Zimmerman missing. Daniel Salloi carries a pace threat and Josh Sargent is the striker, with Niklas Dorsch providing something extra in midfield, though on the road against this Miami side it is hard to see a compact shape holding for long. Put it this way: Messi against a depleted Toronto backline is not a matchup Fraser will have circled with any confidence.

Toronto's plan probably involves staying compact and hoping to nick something on the counter but with Casemiro screening centrally and Messi orchestrating from a withdrawn position, the space for Salloi to operate in looks limited. Miami's delivery from set pieces adds another avenue against a reshuffled defence that is vulnerable from dead balls given everything Fraser has lost.
