Brest vs Toulouse Prediction: Lachuer's Side Face Askou's Ambitious Attack in Ligue 1 MD2

Set pieces could matter more than usual in this one: Brest missing experienced centre backs makes them vulnerable to aerial deliveries and Toulouse's suspended midfielder weakens their defensive shape at dead balls.

There is also something emotionally complicated about this for Brest. Lachuer's appointment came in difficult circumstances following Eric Roy's death and his players may start with more edge than usual, which could disrupt Toulouse's rhythm early. For Toulouse, Askou's preference for territory and pressing may tempt them into overcommitting if they fall behind.

Toulouse should win this 2-1. Brest's reshuffled back line with Chardonnet, Magnetti and Bourgault all missing creates the kind of disorganisation Gboho and Vignolo can exploit and while Ajorque will keep Brest in it on the counter, Toulouse have more established attacking options and their shape, for all its own absences, is less unsettled than what Lachuer is working with.
