Sparta Rotterdam vs Feyenoord Prediction: Van Bronckhorst's Side Dominate Derby Opener

The Eredivisie 2026/27 season opens with a Rotterdam derby at Sparta Stadion Het Kasteel on Sunday 9 August, with both clubs launching new managerial eras on matchday one. Title race ambitions, European spots and local bragging rights are all in play from the first whistle and with Feyenoord having finished runners up in 2025/26 while Sparta have lost their main striker and are still bedding in a new manager, the personnel gap going into this one is hard to miss.
