If the home side keeps Osimhen quiet and forces Galatasaray wide, crosses become predictable, if he drops deep to link with Sane and open channels for midfield runners, the compact shape starts to look a lot more fragile. Set pieces offer Erzurumspor another route in and it is an area Galatasaray will need to manage carefully as they settle into Buruk's system.
Galatasaray have dominated meetings with Erzurumspor historically, winning by 2-0, 2-1 and 1-0 in encounters between 2018 and 2021 and history here is firmly against the promoted side despite the home advantage.
Galatasaray to win 2-1. Erzurumspor's setup will make this uncomfortable for long stretches and Tozlu and Andrade will get their moments in behind but Osimhen and Sane are a step above what a newly promoted backline faced in TFF 1. Lig. Osimhen against a backline that has never played top flight football is too large a mismatch to ignore.
