Kasımpaşa host Amedspor at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium on 6 September 2026 in Round 4 of the Süper Lig, with Kasımpaşa sitting eighth on five points from three games and Amedspor, the newly promoted side, occupying fifth on six from three. Emre Belözoğlu has been in charge at Kasımpaşa since 5 December 2025 when he replaced Shota Arveladze, while Besnik Hasi took over at Amedspor on 10 June 2026 following Mesut Bakkal's departure, the two managers having no prior meetings between them.
Kasımpaşa have been steady without being spectacular, drawing 1-1 with Başakşehir on 30 August, beating Çorum FK 1-0 on 22 August and drawing 1-1 with Trabzonspor on 15 August, five points from three games without conceding more than once in any of them. Amedspor have been far more erratic: a 2-1 win at Trabzonspor on 31 August, a 0-2 loss at Kocaelispor on 24 August and a 3-0 win over Erzurumspor on 16 August. They've scored five and conceded three but two of those three came in a single defeat.
Kasımpaşa go into this with five absentees, all muscular or tendon injuries: Jakob Jessen, Kamil Ahmet Çörekçi (Achilles), Haris Hajradinović, Mortadha Ben Ouanes and Thiemoko Diarra. The cluster hits midfield and wide areas hardest, narrowing Belözoğlu's options and likely pushing him towards a more conservative shape than usual. Amedspor are without Yira Collins Sor and Dilhan Demir, both through injury, which thins the attacking and midfield options Hasi has available.
Kasımpaşa's default is a pragmatic 4-2-3-1 built around defensive shape first and counter attacks second, with the double pivot protecting the back four and the front four looking to exploit transitions. Adrian Benedyczak leads the line, dangerous in behind with both his movement and finishing, while Kerem Demirbay sits at the base of the midfield and Güven Yalçın provides the wide outlet, with Andreas Gianniotis in goal. Amedspor play a similar system but with considerably more ambition, building around sustained possession and quick combinations. The injuries complicate both approaches. Kasımpaşa, deprived of their midfielders and wide players, are likely to sit in a mid block and look to spring Benedyczak in behind when Amedspor push men forward. Amedspor, missing Sor and Demir, lean even more heavily on Saba and Ballet for creativity, which may make them more predictable if Kasımpaşa successfully close the central lanes. The duel that probably matters most is Demirbay against Raveloson in midfield and if Kasımpaşa win that contest Amedspor's build up stalls and the counter attack opens up, with Benedyczak testing the visiting centre backs in behind all afternoon.
This is the first Süper Lig meeting between the two clubs, with Amedspor in their debut top flight season after promotion from the TFF 1. Lig and no head to head record to draw on.
Kasımpaşa's organisation extends to dead balls, though with several wide delivery options missing from the squad their usual delivery threat is somewhat blunted. Amedspor have done their scoring from open play and will need to tighten up defensively to handle the direct approach they face here.
Kasımpaşa 2-1 Amedspor. The 4-2-3-1 with a deep double pivot should limit the central space Saba needs to operate and Benedyczak and Yalçın should find space in behind a defence that conceded twice to Kocaelispor. Amedspor will create chances (five goals in three games is not a fluke) but the Demirbay versus Raveloson battle in the middle looks like the axis the whole game turns on and Kasımpaşa have the better player there.
